ZW117 Range Extender 6

This describes the Z-Wave device ZW117, manufactured by AEON Labs with the thing type UID of aeon_zw117_00_000.

The ZW117 supports routing. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is also able to participate in the routing of data from other devices.

Dimmer

The brightness channel allows to control the brightness of a light. It is also possible to switch the light on and off.

The switch_dimmer channel supports the Dimmer item and is in the DimmableLight category.

Color Control

The color channel allows to control the color of a light. It is also possible to dim values and switch the light on and off.

The color_color channel supports the Color item.

Color Temperature

The color temperature channel allows to set the color temperature of a light from 0 (cold) to 100 (warm).

The color_temperature channel supports the Dimmer item and is in the ColorLight category.

The following table provides a summary of the 7 configuration parameters available in the ZW117. Detailed information on each parameter can be found in the sections below.

Parameter 33: RGB value

Set the RGB value of the LED for the quality test of the LED diode.

The following option values may be configured -:

The manufacturer defined default value is 2 (Red value).

This parameter has the configuration ID config_33_3_00000021 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 82: Default status of the LED

Set the default status of the LED when the Range Extender relays Z-Wave message.

The following option values may be configured -:

0 The green LED remains On for 2 seconds
1 Off

The manufacturer defined default value is 0 (The green LED remains On for 2 seconds).

This parameter has the configuration ID config_82_1_00000052 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 252: Enable/disable the Configuration to be locked

Parameter 254: Device Tag.

Values in the range 0 to 0 may be set.

Parameter 255: Reset to factory default

Reset to factory default settings and removed from the z-wave network

Association Groups

Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic.

The ZW117 supports 2 association groups.

Group 1: Group 1

Lifeline This group supports 5 nodes.

Retransmit This group supports 5 nodes.
